So I’m sitting in line waiting to see avengers right now. and behind me are THE MOAT IRRITATING BUNCH OF KIDS ON THE PLANET. I had to move like, 4 times because one of the little bastards kept elbowing me in the back. I don’t usually sit on the floor so this is bad enough, and to top it off my bad knee is on serious pain. Lovely. I fucking hate kids.

Yesterday, this kid handed this guy that i sit by something to throw away. They were doodles, yanno? Boredom drawings. And so He asks what they are, and the kids response is ‘just drawings that i dont want’, then this fat ass overly sheltered bitch guy just goes right on to say ‘these arent drawings. these are scribbles. you arent an artist, you’re a scribbler.” And the kid just took it. He didnt care, i guess, but it bothered me. The guy i sit by is a decent artist. His anatomy is off, its hard to tell what he draws sometimes, but hes still decent. But no one, and i mean no one, has the right to tell some one that they arent an artist. Every one can draw if they try, and to be told you arent an artist is a dick move on the tellers part.

Some people yes, may be technically better than others, but that doesn’t mean you say it. That’s fucked up. Any one who has the nerve to do that doesn’t deserve to walk on this planet and call themselves an artist. At least have the decency to keep it in your head.

Now i know this brings up one thing in Particular. Tracing. Tracing is technically yes, drawing, but you’re not a true artist if you trace. That’s my opinion. You’re just tracing over something that some one else did or tracing over nature. You don’t trace. You reference. I have to deal with this stupid girl in my class that traces, and she claims to be an artist, and me, Baki and Cho Are all just looking at her like , “the fuck?” I mean, Cho doesn’t draw much, himself, but he knows what’s wrong and right, and he knows that tracing is just lazy.

Maybe you know, as practice, to get the feel of how something is, how it’s shaped, but tracing an entire thing and claiming that you drew it is just Wrong.
